Department of History is started with the opening of college in June 1989. The Department of History is equipped with qualified staff with Ph.D. and research guides approved by University.

The Department of History is one of the leading Research Centers of his college. Prof. Dr Vasant Dongare has been serving as a Head of History Department. Under his Guidance 8 research scholars have received Ph D Degree. Apart from this Dr Vasnat Dongare wrote 7 books related to history.
