Since 1989 in this Mahila Mahavidyalaya, The Department of Marathi has been working actively. The department of Marathi conducts various competitions for the students for all-round personality development of the students. On behalf of the department we have invited the well-known writers, poets, authors, and critics, etc. Prof Hema Jawanjal is taking care of this department as a Head. She organizes many programmes on account of Marathi Bhasha Pantdharwad and on other occasions.
