We have a very rich and proactive Music Department right from its inception i.e. since 1989. Prof Varsha P Tambekar served as a First Head Department of Music from 24 September 1990 till 30 June 1994. Many of the significant programmes were conducted during her tenure. Later, Dr. Abhay Gadre took its responsibility on his shoulder from 22 September 1994 till his superannuation i.e. 30 June 2024. The contribution of Dr Garde is incomparable taking the growth and conservation of this Department. During his tenure he commenced different types of Musical events and programmes which were encompassed to society, academia and students.
